What is the difference between Jira and Projects?
  

Jira is a project management app that helps teams of all sizes plan, track, and manage work on one common platform. What were previously called “Jira Projects” are now referred to as “Jira Spaces” – these are flexible containers that hold the actual work items.

While Jira is used for detailed task management and team workflows, the Projects app is designed for high-level project communication and visibility across teams and stakeholders – centralizing status updates, progress summaries, risks, and key decisions so anyone in the organization can easily see how work is progressing without digging into the details.
